تِلْكَ إِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِيزَىٰ
If so it is an unfair division.
The Meccan pagans considered Angels as goddesses, being female daughters of Allah. That is why Latha, Uzza, and Manatha, even though they were idols of males, the Meccan pagans were worshipping them, considering them as goddesses. See explanation 6: 100; 16: 58-59; and 43: 17.
